Biography

Sheena Hong, MSc, BMus (Summa Cum Laude), DipABRSM, ATCL is a Singaporean vocalist, keyboardist, emcee and educator.

 

She graduated from the world-renowned Berklee College of Music (Boston, US) in 2014 with majors in Classical Composition and Electronic Production & Design, and also holds a Masters of Science in Environmental Management from The University of Hong Kong, owing to her interest in sustainability.

 

As a professional musician, Sheena has performed at many prestigious venues including Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, Pianos NYC, Esplanade Waterfront, Recital Studio and Concourse, Victoria Concert Hall, Wala Wala, The Blackbird, and Google HQ (SG). She has been a featured artist with residences at hotels such as Capitol Kempinski and Marina Mandarin, and shared stages with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Heather Headley, Nathan Hartono, Arthur Kam, NyaLi, Ben Hum, Lennerd Lim, Sherman Zhuo and Abbey Tan. 

She has performed as a singer-keyboardist in various local bands such as Suncity Sons, Roseville Deluxe, Jukeleles, Solune, Reverie and The Lost Box. Her repertoire includes Top 40s and classics in the following languages - English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Korean, Japanese, Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia, French, Finnish, Italian and Spanish.

 

Sheena is an Adjunct Lecturer at Singapore Raffles Music College (SRMC), teaching the Understanding Audio and Sound and Recording Portfolio Project modules for the Advanced Diploma in Music programme. 

 

She was previously a member of the New York Choral Society, Tenuto Chamber Singers (Boston), Circuit Bridges (NY), New York Electroacoustic Music Society, Singapore Youth Choir and National Junior College Chorale (SG), and has had original compositions performed at Berklee College of Music (Boston), Buffalo State University, Pianos NYC and Esplanade Concourse (SG). 
 

Combining her support for the local music scene and the sustainability movement, she performed with her band Sheena Learns to Rock pro bono for the April 2025 Rock For Good, hosted by The Blackbird, to raise awareness for sustainability projects. She stays involved in the community through charity projects such as Musical Touch’s hospice outreach programme. 

 

Sheena grew up listening to vocal powerhouses Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera and continues to be influenced by defining vocalists of her generation like Ariana Grande and Adele.
